How we will care for and support your child
Bishop Stopford’s School is an enthusiastic and friendly place. We pride ourselves on a very high level of pastoral care and this is based on trust, tolerance and respect. During the last inspections, Ofsted praised pastoral care as a strength of the school and the quality of care was also singled out for praise by our parents.
High levels of discipline are an important part of our learning ethos.
A Head of Year is responsible for each age group and leads a team of tutors and attached staff. The school is also organised into houses. Thus all students belong to:
- a Year Group
- a House Group
- a Form Group
The system is designed to:
- develop to the full potential of all students by carefully monitoring academic progress
- develop good relationships with parents and carers
- ensure all students are happy and safe in school
- provide a full range of extracurricular activities for students to widen their experience outside the classroom.
